It was a solid effort through three quarters, and then it all unraveled for the Bengals on Sunday falling 27 – 17 to the Jaguars as four-point home underdogs. With a still nonexistent running game, plenty of dropped passes, and a wildly inaccurate Andy Dalton, the Bengals were able to take a 7 – 6 lead into the half and even led 10 – 9 at the start of the fourth. But as the shadows began creeping across the field in Cincinnati, Bad Andy Dalton showed his face once again. To the tune of three interceptions, including a very crucial one with 8:00 left in the game that sealed things for the Jaguars.
I know the guy’s nickname is “The Red Rifle” but come on, put a little bit of touch on the football every once in a while. On multiple occasions throughout the game, Bengal wide receivers were greeted with a 90-mph heater as soon as they came out of their 5-yard routes. Now I know the O-line is awful, maybe historically bad, but please Andy, throw these guys a ball that that they can handle. With the loss Cincinnati falls to 0-7 SU and 3-4 ATS on the season.
Bengals Prop Bet for the No. 1 Pick and Bengals Odds for NFL Week 5 as they Travel to London
There was a lot of action on the under in this game, which looked great most of way, especially through three quarters. The total for this game opened up at Over/ Under 47.5 and was bet down all the way to 44 by game time, that is of course right where the number landed after the 25 points that were scored in the fourth quarter. Tough beat for those who took the number early and a rough backdoor push for those who got in near game time.
Much to the chagrin of Bengals fans everywhere I think we need to keep tracking the 1st overall draft pick prop for as long as it’s in question. Because these guys are making a real case for it now. It continues to be a two-horse race as Miami -200 and Cincinnati +200 are the odds-on favorites, followed by Washington +1200 a distant third. With each passing week the Bengals keep making a stronger and stronger case for putting a few bucks on this prop bet although I don’t think they are there quite yet. I see some personal changes in the Bengals future, and I don’t think it will be adding to this current it roster it will be more aimed at the future and trying to right the ship down the road.
This week Cincinnati travels overseas to London to face the Rams from Wembley Stadium. The line has opened at Cincinnati + 12.5 and we have seen early action on the Rams sending the line up to Cincinnati +13.5. The current Over/ Under for the game is set at 48.5. Los Angeles just snapped their three-game losing streak with a decisive 37 – 10 road victory in Atlanta, where the Rams actually stayed this week for practice in order to avoid the trip back out west before having to fly to London for Sunday’s game. This looks like a tough spot for the Bengals to get their first win of the season and let’s hope something improves with this offensive line because if not Aaron Donald and the Rams defense will make it another long day for Cincinnati.
